This appointment involves taking a detailed medical history and conducting a physical examination. Based on the information gathered, relevant investigations such as blood tests or imaging may be requested. 

This in-person appointment involves a physical examination and tests to diagnose functional bowel disorders, including manometry and physiology testing. 

It is typically performed directly after the initial assessment, but you may choose to return for this test at a later time if preferred. 

This appointment can take place either over the phone via telehealth or in person. 

The same practitioner from your initial assessment will go over the test results with you. 

A management plan may be discussed, which could include a referral for an endoscopy, a trial of medication, or recommendations to see a general surgeon, dietician or pelvic floor physiotherapist. 

This follow-up appointment is to review your progress with the management plan. It can be done over the phone via telehealth or in person.
